I love poetry it soothes the soul and makes you think. It brings out your inner self and aids you in understanding life, the how and the why. Poetry brings out your love, your hate, your anger, your sadness, your expression of gladness. I decided to share some of my poems..... Hope you enjoy them.
And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled: Matthew 24:6. ... to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:2 ... A time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war, and a time of peace: Ecclesiastes 3:8.
Late at night a few years ago I heard on the news that a little old blind man, with a cane, walked out on the street in Iraq and was shot down. A casualty of war....what for? Why? I sat down and began to write the poem below...... ____________
Freedom Fight
We fight for freedom every day. We do this in many ways. In our hearts, our home, our world. Be sure, our vision never blurs. Women fight for freedom's rights. Men fight to protect that right! Old man walking with a cane. He's shot down in freedom's name. Is it right? Some say yes! The price we pay, is my guess. Some cry out, no more war! No more war! What the heck is if for? It's for freedom... and it comes from above. God sent it to Noah on the wings of a dove. Some try to take it. Yes, take it away. They want to play God, if just for a day. God wants us to have the freedom he gave. The evil one takes it in the holy one's name. We need this freedom, precious to all. Are we good? Are we bad? God don't let us fall. Only in freedom can God distinguish who's wrong or who's right. He searches our soul in the dead of the night. So as time marches on we will pay the price. For this thing called freedom. It's a God given right.

A few years ago one of my daughters was having problems with a relationship and she was at my house asking what should she do?..
After she left I wrote this funny little poem, took me a whole five minutes. To my surprise, I sent it in and it was published in 'Letters from the Soul' series by:

Should She Stay
Should she flee, or should she stay? We don't know about yesterday. What did happen in the town, maybe all her feelings were drowned.
Murky water gliding thick, should we stir it with a stick? It could smell just a bit.
All her feelings go round and round like the water till she's drowned. Her soul searches for the truth should we call Dr. Ruth.
She has problems no one knows. Should she stay, Should she go?

Let Me In
Let me in I'm knocking, Let me in I care. Let me in and show you to listen, that I'm there. Let me in your anger to help it go away. Let me in your sorrows, follow me, I'm the way. Let me in, believe me, there is a better way. Let me in to convince you there is a greater day. Let me in, I love you, with love that never ends. Let me in, you know me, I'm you Father, God, who mends.

Life's Lessons
From God's domain to Earth we came, Knowing that we were all made the same. We came here as babies, spirit to flesh, A new little person, all cuddly and fresh.
We crawled, then we walked, many lessons to learn. For one that thorns stick you, and that fire burns. As we grew older, the lessons increased. Our hearts were broken, our anger released.
God loves us immensely; the reason we're here. Is to learn from God's lessons, and return home free from fear. The only way we can see this is through life on this Earth. We can learn from these lessons, which were assigned before birth.
When our time on Earth is over, we'll return to our God. He will welcome us home to Heaven to be with the ones we love To be part of his family and know forevermore That all of our lessons were worth it and this is what they were for.
